Afuri Harajuku

Craving ramen and this was one of the recommended places. Got excited when I read some reviews and this place did not disappoint. I love the ease of access from just being able to purchase my ramen from a vending machine. The place was your typical Japanese ramen places as you sit around the kitchen (like in a bar). It was very rustic and gave off a very comfortable feeling. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly; not being able to speak much Japanese, the staff were still able to address my needs and explain the menu. The food: The noodles were cooked perfectly. The pork slices were tender, flavorful and went well with the broth. I would definitely pay another visit here. Lucky we did not have to wait.

Really hip staff and great music selection. But the line usually pretty long and the ramen is excellent but really light. So tonkatsu lovers beware

Always satisfying! Never failed... Shoud try their shio ramen with extra topping!
